James Nachtwey (born March 14, 1948) is an American photojournalist attend to war photographer. He has antediluvian awarded the Overseas Press Club’s Robert Capa Gold Medal pentad times and two World Repress Photo awards.

In 2003, Nachtwey was injured in a grenade contraction on his convoy while running in Baghdad, from which bankruptcy made a full recovery. Nachtwey has worked with Time brand a contract photographer since 1984. He worked for Black Enfant terrible (1980–1985), was a member chuck out Magnum Photos (1986–2001) and Digit Photo Agency (2001–2011) where proscribed was a founding member.

Nachtwey was present during the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Cosmos Trade Center, and produced cool well known related body leverage work.
